After having a bit of a bad experience at the beginning I then got Julian assigned to do the job. Now it was all easy, he explained the whole process of upgrading our solar system and installing a Tesla Powerwall in detail. It was installed in short time and the job done clean and tidy. From first deciding to go for solar to being up and running, this was a seamless process. Guy Coleman was great to deal with, he talked us through our options and answered all the questions we had, as well as staying in touch with us throughout. We decided on 14 panels and a Powerwall. The installation team worked quickly and efficiently, not even stopping for a cup of tea on a very cold day! We are very pleased with the system and highly recommend!!

Recently we engaged Harrisons to install a 12 panel solar array on our home. From first contact to final commissioning our interactions were friendly, efficient and timely. Chris was very knowledgeable and explained each step and option carefully. The installation team carried out their work in a very professional manner and the system was running within two days following the final electrical inspection. Stu Robinson sold the system to us. Friendly, helpful, professional. The team that did the installation were superb. Helpful, quick, neat. This system (probably the minimum), is generating more power at this time of year than I expected! Even on a heavy overcast day, we are getting usable power. Thanks team! We are now learning how to best use the system. I totally recommend forking out for a smart meter. It gives you the information to help you use your power better. Only downside, trying to get the meter owner ( contact) to install the import/export meter! They will come up with any excuse for not doing it. Do live chat, and demand a credit.

From our first inquiry until installation the support from the team at Harrisons Waikato has been seamless. Dumb questions were answered with professionalism and information about our new solar system dispensed before some questions were asked. The installation team did a great job ensuring the equipment was conveniently located plus; they cleaned up after themselves! Don't go anywhere else! Andre and Tineka Kavanagh are a pleasure to work with!

Daryl was able to talk us through our questions and expectaations. His choice to use a regular install crew that he could trust and rely on is a good call, rather than just random hired hands. The battery really is the game changer enabling power to be used later in the day, coupled with maximising Contact's free power 9.00 - midnight, meaning in summer very little paid for power used, whilst being paid for export. In fact in summer, in the evening I was able to charge 2 electric cars at the same time as sending power back to the grid! In winter, obviously not generating as much, but still about half of what it would have been - that's with 2 heat pumps, 2 electric cars (and no pertol bills), 1 spa as well as the water heating and other uses. The battery came into it's own yesterday during a planned power outage, where using the app on the phone we could ensure we had 100% stored when the power went out.

Seamless. So easy to deal with Carl Williams and his team from Harrison’s solar. We are delighted with our bespoke solar system. As we had specific requirements and budget, Carl worked with us to achieve this fantastic addition to our home. Couldn’t be happier with workmanship and the team that made it happen. Julian and his team at Harrison's Solar have been amazing to deal with. Quick responses to any questions I have, clear reasons to support the recommendations of what to go for, a and a quick and tidy install, and panels working as promised. Just be wary of the Mercury Harrison deal on Offer at the moment as Mercury is dropping the ball on timely install and connection of the nessiary 2 way smart meter, with over a month or more waiting required.

Nerum was very upfront and honest about the Solar technology being used and what it would be able to provide for us. He had great communication throughout, even though there were a few issues that needed to be ironed out, he got them sorted. Would highly recommend them.

My Wife and I engaged with Harrisons Solar, (Struan & Rachael) as we liked the idea of Solar Technology, we did some extensive research and Struan sat down with us to understand our power needs and came to us with solutions. Once we decided what we wanted (Solar panels, 6.0kw/h inverter and selling excess power to the grid, no battery, yet) the Harrisons Team looked after everything from local council compliance to install. We are now 18 months since the install and are happily seeing the benefits. The application on the phone is super simple to see what is going on and the Harrisons team is always there for support. Over the summer months in the Wairarapa we have a zero dollar power bill, it is great as when it is really hot outside we can have both house heat pumps on 16 degrees and it is not costing a thing, in fact it seems rude not to use the power, this is while also running a spa and pool pump while also using the dishwasher (which heats water) and the heat pump dryer. While the investment will not be paid off over night we are seeing the day to day benefit especially with the rising cost of power and the fact is we own the hardware so no issues if we wanted to sell the house. The Wife and I are really happy with the product and the professional approach of the Harrisons Team and have and will continue to recommend them.

Carl and the team were great to deal with. We had concerns about our concrete roof tiles being damaged during the process, but they gave us the confidence to go ahead, knowing that in the unlikely event any problems would be fixed. Great communication throughout the process, they turned up when they said they would and installation was super quick. We are delighted with the panels and are already seeing savings - can’t wait until Summer! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We are very happy with the whole process of getting our Solar Power. Guy was able to answer all our questions, and organized the install in a very timely manner. Information enabled us to get the best deal for power internet provider. And we love seeing the savings we are already making, even on cloudy days.

Tom and his team did an excellent job of setting us up with solar panels and battery. There was good communication and the install went to plan. Testament to the sparkies, the electrical inspector commented on how good the install was. To cap it off our last power bill was a $30 credit.

Communication with Adrian was great and the service exceptional. Had solar panels with battery installed recently and so far all good. Watching the savings trickle in.

Response to initial enqury was prompt and Sarel was through in his explanation of the system and the pricing was better than we had expected. Only drawback was not having an inverter in stock which delayed the installation by a few weeks. However it worked to our advantage as the new panels were then installed.

It is approx 3 months since it has been up & running. The solar system performance has been faultless! The installers were extremely professional & friendly, taking ONE day to complete the task, job well done!! (We give them an AA.A+plus Rating)

The way we see it is an investment  in future proofing  our most expensive asset our home....great to know we are limiting our carbon footprint & are contributing to the independence of New Zealand's future.

Install was only 12 days after we paid the deposit - and was up and running that day. Very happy with the solution and would highly recommend.

I don't typically write reviews but this seems warranted. Harrisons offer a good solar product, but what really sets them apart, especially their Taranaki branch is the incredible customer service. We signed up to have solar installed and every step of the process was incredibly well managed. All their staff went above and beyond to make sure you were informed about their product, how it integrated with other parts of the house, and even where to get the best deals on power. Nothing was ever too much trouble. True 5 star kiwi service.

We had a number of quotes and discussions from a variety of potential suppliers. Cameron (Christchurch) provided us with great, timely information as we went through a minefield of information and differing views, to ensure what will be best for us and our needs. Cameron and his team were great in their communication, giving clear answers to our many questions and able to get the install done as quickly as possible. The pricing was in our range and the support from Cameron was exlempary in helping provide additional information for us to consider. Very satidifed with the service and experience.

We met with Stu at our home and discussed the benefits of solar. Stu was patient and importantly not pushy in any way. We made the decision to run with Harrison’s and within a month we were up and running. This time last year we paid Gas Power and line fees totalling $352 for January. This month our bill was $88.00! (Switched power companies also to get free power for 3 hours each night) - that’s a great return on our investment. I had been wanting to invest in solar for years but hadn’t found the right mix of company and sales rep that I believed and trusted until I met Julian with Harrison’s Solar. Julian has a lot of experience with solar here and around the world, nothing too much hassle for him . The install went flawlessly, complete in one day with a 20 panel 8 K/Wh system and Tesla battery. We had our solar put in by Alex Warren a year ago and we've put a fair amount of analysis over it this past year. Here're the key outcomes:- The actual solar generation over the year was spot on to what Alex estimated- In addition to purchased KW savings, there are large $ gains coming from understanding how you’re using power and making behavior adjustments- Increase in power pricing + low interest energy loans = great economics- Definitely recommend it

Thanks Harrison’s Hawkes Bay for another great team effort in installing our Tesla Battery. This completes our solar setup after installing solar panels with them 4 years ago. The great experience has continued even through a change in franchise owners. Our installer Phil also did our panels. The team are very prompt, personable, knowledgeable and communication is excellent. We are very impressed with the battery performance to date, with it’s self learning algorithms making the most of storing energy and exporting where necessary to make it as efficient as possible to save you money. Combined with the Contact energy Good Nights free power plan from 9pm to 12am to top up your battery for free each night we can already see even more cost savings beyond what we had with panels only. We compared many other solar battery systems prior to deciding on the Tesla. Although not the cheapest, it is by far one of the most superior in sophistication and technology making it one of the best currently available in NZ. Tineka and Andre were fantastic to deal with. Very responsive to questions throughout the whole process. It can be overwhelming looking into solar with all the different products on the market, but these guys know what they are talking about and help you understand how everything works. The installers were professional and clean. They very obviously knew what they were doing. We always wanted solar, but were a bit hesitant because of upfront costs. Our goals were to reduce our monthly costs and have backup power incase of a grid outage. Andre and Tineka helped us design a system that would sufficiently meet these goals without going over our budget. Loving our setup!

It was a pleasure dealing with HARRISONS SOLAR TARANAKI. Steve answered the questions we had, filled us in with added extras, discussed with us the  solar panel layout, the number of panels that were going to give us the greatest benefit. Sharron was informative and kept us up to date with the installation process. Then team Swayze and Travis arrived with the gear. Before we knew it, the installation was in full swing. What a great team Steve and Sharron sent out to us. We contacted Harrison’s after discussing our neighbours Solar install. Due to work load it took a couple of weeks for our consultation. But the quote was basically instant. We were told from the get go the install would be approximately 10 weeks again due to work load. Sharron was very easy to with.

Stu was a pleasure to work with. Had Good communication and made sure that we are happy with our choice. Visited our place multiple times to make sure we’ll achieved what we wanted. Came on the day of installation to check everything goes with the plan, and after installation to see if everything is alright. He looked after us very well. Julian von Olnhausen is a pro at what he does in every sense of the word.He was excellent at evaluating of the needs of our Koohanga Reo regarding the solar panels, finding the correct solution to our ongoing solar issues , and even stood on our roof and helped show us how to effectively clean and maintain our Solar panels.He worked closely with me so that I could understand the workings of our system.  He was always available to answer questions both before and after the installation.Julian is very sympathetic to our cause, Teaching Te Reo Maori to preschool aged children and even arranged to install on the weekend to avoid any disturbance for the children and teachers.We would highly recommend Julian again in a heartbeat!

I've fitted a Harrisons Solar System, and it works well. But I had a few outstanding questions that needed answering, and was extremely pleased when Julian went out of his way to look into these and solve then very quickly and professionally - most impressed! And would recommend him to anyone that needs someone that knows and enjoys their trade inside and out.
