Solar options for your Farm
Grid-Tied
A grid-tied solar system is one that has solar panels, but is also still connected to the power grid. This allows excess power to be sold back to the grid for a credit. You also don't need a battery with a grid-tied system, but it will save you even more money and provide backup.
Hybrid
A hybrid solar system combines solar panels and battery + a grid connection - this maximises self-consumption and reducing energy expenses.
Off-Grid
An off-grid system operates independently from the power grid - the solar panels power the building + send power to batteries for use at night time, but there is no backup from the grid in case of emergency. Off-grid solar systems are not currently supported by Tesla Powerwall and a off-grid system may not be the optimal solution for all energy needs. Talk to us to see what option is best for you.
