Daryl and Karyn are Business Owners for Harrisons Solar in Wellington

Because Wellington has just as many sunshine hours as other of New Zealand's "sunny" spots, solar can be just as beneficial as most other areas around the country – but we do get some extreme weather conditions at times, and our expert advice and approved contractors make sure that our installations are certified and built to withstand whatever Mother Nature throws at us.
"Our business is built on trust and commitment," Daryl says. "We are not a hard-sell, pushy company with baffling sales techniques, but a local family-owned business looking to offer you great products and expert advice. We are 100% committed to making sure your home is energy efficient. We specify high quality products and it's our commitment to you that the product or system that you purchase from Harrisons Solar Wellington will give you the results that you are looking for."

Outstanding and no sales pressure
If yo are considering installing solar panels, I would highly recommend going with Harrison’s Solar in Wellington. From getting three quotes to deciding upon what is value for money when going down this track - Harrison’s were outstanding and no sales pressure. My first contact was with Daryl - the company franchise owner who viewed our property and came up with pragmatic options to consider. We own an old house and the installation would not be that straight forward. Following receipt of the quote and various options, it was easily dealing with Karyn who oversaw the transition from one power supplier to another. The installation team headed by Jake was fantastic! They worked fast and tidied up after themselves. We did have a switchboard issue related to the old house wiring and Jake was quick to come back and sort this out for us. We have had no problems since. In relation to the solar panels - I did some research and they are of European design - more costly than the other two quotes but more efficient. You will not be disappointed going with Daryl and his team.

I immediately felt secure
Harrison’s Solar are just awesome. I met with Daryl, who was a top guy IMO. Professional and intelligent, we had a face-to-face chat and I immediately felt secure. The guys he sent out to measure everything up for the install, and do the install, were friendly and professional too. The whole team were awesome (including Karyn!).

Save the Planet
Absolutely! New Zealand has abundant sunshine and generates between 1,700 and 2,100 sunshine hours annually. Some areas, like Nelson and Gisborne, receive as much as 2,400. Solar Panels don’t require sunshine; they require daylight, so Solar Panels work year-round, even in the lower South Island.
The average energy consumption is essential in determining the number of Solar Panels you need. A retired couple will have a different power consumption than a young family, plus pools, spas, and electric cars can also impact energy requirements.
The amount of energy Solar Panels can generate depends on sun hours and is therefore affected by your location.
Your roof size is crucial because it determines the number of Panels that can fit on your roof, how much energy will be generated, and the cost.

There are several factors to consider when installing a Solar System in your home. In most scenarios, the benefits of solar power outweigh the drawbacks.
